More than a dozen buildings populate the grounds of Naper Settlement, a living history museum devoted to preserving the 19th century history of the region. Historical buildings and authentic items help recall aspects of local life during the Victorian era as the town grew from a small, isolated settlement into a larger, more prosperous community. Throughout the year, special events and demonstrations go into further detail on certain everyday activities and industries, such as the process of maple sugaring and table etiquette. The 13-acre reconstructed village sits beside North Central College, south of Riverwalk Park.
